About RSS (Really Simple Syndication)
RSS is a special format in which data is stored allowing another program to display that data.
Most commonly used to show the most recent updates to a website without having to go back to site to check manually.
Instead a feed reader can automatically check for new updates and alert you as needed.
There is a list of free RSS readers that you can use to the right of this text.
There also web based RSS readers as well such as Google Reader and Live Bookmarks in FireFox.
