Performance Logging with Batch files

This is a batch file that will create a performance counter log on your Windows setup with basic counters like Available memory, page faults, processor usage and disk space. Everyday it will stop the counter, making Windows Performance Manager output the counter to a log file, which you may specify, and then restarts it up again and it will begin output to a new file with the current date.

This is quite useful if you want to see how your server is doing. There are several output formats you can choose, whether it be text (comma or tab delimited), binary, or even T-SQL. Once outputted, you can use this data in graphs, which becomes useful to see when your most traffic hits your server.

This only works on Windows based systems, and is mostly used for server enterprise setups. Windows 2000 or greater.

Just move the file inside the archive according to your setup. Mostly like the folders pre-put in the archive are what your setup looks like, IE: C:\Windows\Temp.

When you have put the perf_refresh.bat in the *.*\Temp\Performance_Logs\ directory, run the PerfQuery.bat file.
