As you all may know by now. Coder Profile contains a section for user uploaded articles on an array of topics. This thread will be used to help generate some helpful articles.
http://www.coderprofile.com/content/public/coding-articles/index.php

So this is how it works. If you would like to see an article about a particular topic, ask here. Hopefully, somebody fluent in that topic will read this thread, and post an article to help you, and others out.

This is a great way to generate content for this site, and to learn something new. So let's begin. What do you guys want to see an article about?

It was a really well written article - good job

I got an article in the workings, which will deal about the many considerations one must face in order to develop a 'perfect' software. So far, this is the list of topics, I am going to write about:
QUOTE:  Remove Scroll Bars
I. Introduction

II. Key Issues

-> Pre-Design

- Goal Identification

- Planning

- Choosing the Best Tool/Language

- Working in Teams

- Schedules and Dead-lines

-> Core Factors

- Efficiency and Speed

- Size vs. Safety, Defensive Programming

- Resource Consumption

- Reliability, Stability and Error Handling

- Praticality and Ellegance

- Programming Paradigms and Modular Implementation

-> System and Development Factors

- Portability

- Compatibility

- Maintenance and Expandability

-> User Interaction

- Simplicity and Clarity

- Intuitiveness and Ease of Use

- Documentation

-> Financial Factors

- License Types

- Prices and Updates

- Services and Support

III. Closing comments
It is only a draft of each section, but if you believe I skipped anything, let me know, and I will include it.

This might take some time, as I intend to go deep within each subject, but nevertheless I hope its worth the wait.

I was considering to write one of those once I finished my current application. I was even going to use examples. I'm going to write a series of Python tutorials as well. People say I explain stuff in easy terms.

Hi ya,

Nice article

A few things tho:
QUOTE:  Remove Scroll Bars
In C++, you should avoid using macros, and use C++ specific features to achieve the same results in a cleaner way.
What are the C++ specific features to achieve the same results?

Also i think a few "examples" would be brilliant. Like a

C edition
C++ edition

Although i think i would possibly wait until i add BBCode to the articles allowing you to use code tags etc.

Other than that, very nice job on that article

Kind regards,
Scott

Thanks,

I'll update it later, when you give code tags to those pages. I basically meant using const, enum, inline, and template, all of which replace something in C. Although C99 inlcluded some of those keywords, define is still used more than it should.
