phpBB 3.X on IIS - Deactivating the board results in HTTP 503 err...
Internet & Web Sites
Transferring a phpBB board from one to another server is not implicitly easy. Especially transferring boards from servers running Apache to IIS based webservers seemed to be a very hard task. After transferring files and database we were encountering a HTTP 503 service unavailabe result from web request on the new machine. Getting more information about HTTP 503 is tricky. As the new server is a really new server running Windows Server 2008 with PHP extension in IIS as FastCGI and this is the first time we are running this configuration we h... View In Full

My Experiences So Far with Languages
Programming
I enjoy writing articles, people call me an extremely descriptive writer when I write fiction. But what really peeves me is Microsoft. I like Windows 98, but ever since that, their quality has gone down, and their prices gone up. My friend's windows 98 computer, with 300 MB of RAM boots up faster any Windows XP or Vista computer I have seen, and most of those have a GIG of ram! and better processors and everything! I also like Windows 98 "MS-DOS Mode" because I like that instant start-up, and I find it a nice environment for writing and tes... View In Full

Programming
Hi ya guys, Have you ever nested that many if conditions that your code starts to get quite complicated? Let's give you an example Just some simple data checks on the $_POST['name'] value. Then explain how it works in regards to simplifying it. [code language='php']function get_name() { //make sure it's set if (isset($_POST['name']) == false) { return 'Error Occured'; }...
