I have used several programming forums around the web all ending up with the same results: rude, mean, and abrupt remarks from the regular members using those forums. I found out about coder profile through Newgrounds and immediately, I joined the site. I thought it would be a great way to create an e Portfolio for my programming projects and a good way to organize my "goofing-off" codes. Once I realized this site had a discussion forum that's specifically dedicated to programming, instantly I dropped all other forums and decided to use this forum. I like coder profile, it's got a lot of potential to grow into an amazing site. I think that I'm going to stick around a while to see what happens with the site. You're definitely going to see more forum posts from myself ... and probably, more codes.
Truth be told, I have only just (at the time of writing this, obviously >_>) registered here at Coder Profile, but within the short time that I have been a member, I've found a TON of interesting articles, each of them having a decent amount of stuff to teach me! This site is truly amazing. It looks great, works great. It's such an easy to use web site. If the activity increases then I could definitely see this place becoming one of the best portals of coders on the World Wide Web!
I wish VBAssassin all the best of luck with Coder Profile and its future.
This is one of the most unique and amazing sites I've ever found. The website creator and developer is an extremely nice guy, and you can expect to see done what he says he's going to do as far as site updates go. Keep up the good job, Scott.
The coder profile is essential for any programmers wanting to get help in literally any programming language that exists. It has loads of user-generated source codes, and coding articles to make your coding experience a bit easier. It even has a custom forum where users can go and ask/give help. The site is updated on a constant basis, which will make users (like me) visit the site on a regular basis.
CP is a good community with potential but there's a lot to do to make it THE coders community. But I think Scott can handle it and will make it a great website with great features :)
Well, I came to this website, while looking over other forums. One of my good friends had Check My Coderprofile in his signature.
I decided to come along and have a look.
I register and that was that.
I never actually realized VBAssassin was the owner of the website 'at' that time. So i added him as a friend and all. Started chatting with him etc. The first way we got speaking was when i posted a C++ tutorial, and he found a spelling mistake. HA, Yes he does read the articles, most of the time.
But anyway.
So when i realized, I thought what a great site it was. I have been active ever since.
More about the site now, Well. The website, is active, 'enough' it isn't a forum or website that you ask your question and get and answer about four days later. NO, you will get it back the very same day, or if not, you will get it back the next day by sure.
The website has changed a lot since i came here. And for the new comers. It will happen to you too. The website doesn't just stay the same once member start to join. There are updates on the website.
Comments were added to the source, articles etc.
So now. The source code section, in my opinion is a lot better as you can get easier feed back on YOUR source code.
If you guys are still on the half point of joining the website, i think you should actually head your way over to the source codes, and actually see for yourself.
Best of all, what makes a good community? Old members, No. Well yes... But what makes and even better one. Well all the new comers that come to the website.
You register,
Your two friends register,
Their two friends register and so on.
The website and forums will be a lot more active before you know it.
So, if you are still thinking to join after heading to the source code, and / or still reading this and not registered then i think you should register.
It is, FUN, and FREE. The TWO F's.
I wish I had found Coder Profile sooner! Its fantastic! I am just starting out at C++ and I found everyone to be so helpful! I find the source code section extremely useful, as this gives me new ideas and techniques! If your thinking of joining... do it, its free and fun!
This is a great site, where coders can communicate with each other, get feedback on their source codes/coding articles, get new ideas and expand their coding knowledge. You should try it! ;)
When I first joined CP I thought it would be one of those forums where I'd post a question, get my answer and never come back. How wrong was I! I've been on CP daily since I joined months back. The forum alone is packed with entertaining and informative articles posted by some of the most experienced coders I've met on and off line. Even if you strip all that away your still left a fun and friendly on-line community. Then when you move on to the articles and codes pages, even your own coder profile, you see that this site is more than your average. Its the new MySpace, Facebook and Bebo rolled into one coder friendly site.
Coder Profile, Well ye what can i say about it. It's a brilliant online community, VBAssassin has put so much in to this, If you are the coder, designer, or even a programmer. Here is the place to come there are many users (Lots helpful). If you want to learn a language there are many good codes and coders alike here ;)
This site is excellent. The community seems to be a very mature group and the standard of tutorials and source codes is excellent. Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of Java based items, however I plan to change that.
I'm enjoying being here, the layout is logical (thankfully) and it's definitely a good idea. The colour theme works really well and gives the website a very clean feeling.
