How long have you been coding for?
I believe around 6 years.

What is your favorite coding language and why?
I'm stuck between three: PHP, Javascript, and Actionscript. They are just fun to code!

What got you interested in coding?
My friend started with Flash, and I got pulled in.

What do you enjoy most about coding?
Seeing the outcome of what I've spent so much time on.

How did you learn to code?
Books, people, internet tutorials, classes.

What are your favorite coding books?
The New Rider bulletproof series was a good source of information for me.

How old were you when you started to code?
I believe around 11 years old, believe it or not.

What do you use your coding languages for?
Building rich, new, and exciting web applications.

How many hours a week on average do you spend coding?
Oh, I don't know. It varies depending on my mood and plans, etc.

What language do you use the most?
It's a tie between PHP and Javascript.

What language do you think is the most productive for yourself, and why?
PHP, because the way it was built, everything about it, just fits for me.

Have you ever done freelance (paid work) for someone, if so please explain?
Yes, I do it all the time. I haven't started a portfolio yet, I might just use CoderProfile until I find time to build my own CMS.

Do you enjoy freelance work and why?
I do, because it gives me a goal, I'm doing what I enjoy doing, and I make money too!

What do you think makes a good coder?
Determination, skill, will-power.

How many of your friends enjoy coding, if so how many?
Not many, actually. The one that got me started, stopped for some unknown reason.

What is your ideal environment & comforts when coding? Eg, in a quiet office with some coffee.
Nice comfy bean bag, laptop, some lemonade, and a box of Wheat Thins.

What has aided you the most when coding?
My computer.

What language have you been the least productive in?
Probably C++. I just never had time to use it.

What language do you plan on learning next, and why?
I've had my eye on Ruby for a while now. It seems like a well built language. I know a little, but I'm not very good at it at all.

What distracts you most when coding?
Noise, bright lights.

What are you most proud of coding?
Large projects that make things easier for people.

Where do you get your ideas from for a project?
Everyday life. I'll be doing one thing, and something will just pop into my head.What motivates you to keep coding?

The idea of the finished product. The sheer will to finish something.
