Quick Questions

What has been your largest responsibility as a programmer?
To make sure no code is buggy/untested when released to the general public. If it does, that can have reverse effects on profits.
Could you give us some details about specific systems and architectures you have worked on or developed?
I have worked on multiple Microsoft backends. Such as SQL Server 2003, 2005; Visual Studio 2003-08, Team Systems, SharePoint Server, Windows Server 2003-08, BizTalk 2005. I have also worked with a Unix mainframe.
What are the largest projects you have worked on?
Developing a website for a company that allows anyone in the corporate network to use and update the site content (with security permissions). This acts much like a portal website.
How do you go about making sure you do not miss a deadline?
I write notes, and assign myself tasks and update times to make sure I'm on time.
What have you most recently learnt from your most recent programming job?
Security! Security is #1, anything else falls below.
How have you helped your last employer save money (cutting costs, improving efficiency, etc)?
Yes. For my job, this was mostly the main topic. I have to design and deploy software to help the corporate employee's do the job easier and more efficiently, thus saving the company money.
What area of computing most interests you and why?
The backend, programming. I have always found joy in creating programs that help a user do something and/or automate a process. It makes things easier not only for me, but for everyone else that can use it. I'm all about efficiency.
What would be your ideal working environment?
A chair and a computer. As long as I have those, I'm good to go. I can work with people, or by myself; I can also work in loud or quiet environments.
